Our BeliefsThe Bible We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. When we say inspired and without error, we mean we believe this to be verbal, complete, infallible, and inerrant throughout. God the Father
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Mankind
We believe that man was created in the image of God but willingly fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through personal faith in Jesus Christ can salvation be obtained and that a lifelong regeneration by the Holy Spirit draws mankind away from evil and closer to Christ.
God the Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now sits as our High Priest and Advocate.
Substitutionary Death of Christ
We believe that the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ through faith are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. As children of God, the sacrificial death of Christ also provides for Divine Healing and other miraculous blessings according to the will of God.
God the Holy Spirit
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts men, regenerates the believing sinner, and indwells, guides, instructs, and through a special experience for believers following Salvation empowers the believer for godly living and service.
That special experience, or Baptism in the Holy Spirit, is initially demonstrated physically by speaking in a Heavenly Prayer Language just as it was for the early Church.
The Church
We believe that the Church has a Mission to share the Good News of Salvation with those that are lost in sin and that the Church is composed of all such persons who through personal faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by The Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, that a Scripturally Ordained Leadership serves the Church, and that every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.
As the body of Christ, the Church practices two ordinances; Water Baptism of new Christians by immersion and Holy Communion for all believers as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.
Future Events
We believe in the Blessed Hope – the rapture of all living believers to be with Christ prior to his return along with the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
After this, Jesus Christ will return to Earth with all those that have received the gift of Salvation and begin a 1,000 year reign of universal peace. We look forward to a New Heaven and New Earth that will follow the millennial reign where we will dwell with Christ forever.
